The Donor Conversation on Paper

Your messaging strategy may include any of a wide variety of printed pieces – letters, brochures, newsletters, photocards and reports are just a few of the ways you and your Account Manager might choose to bolster donor loyalty and responsiveness.

You will see your printed pieces take shape from their description in your campaign strategies through a draft or two untilSt. Joseph's Indian School you approve the program budget and the final artwork. Amergent then orders the materials from the supplier, releasing the approved computer file to the appropriate printing house, together with a sample that shows size, folds, cuts, perforations and imposition.

The printer provides proofs that must be inspected by representatives from Creative Services, Production and Account Services at Amergent before they are submitted to you for final approval. At the same time, your Production Manager at Amergent verifies final print quantities and lot breakdowns for all components of the program.

Together with the final proof, the Production Manager specifies finishing requirements for the printing supplier. This includes instructions for perforations, folds, trims, gluing, scoring, gutters, die cuts and any other action that must be taken on the printed sheets to convert them into the product that embodies your message.

All these steps, with their checks and balances and redundant approvals, lead to the creation of your program components on time and within an agreed-on budget.
