POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Director, Business Development – Fundraising Services

REPORTS TO: President

DEPARTMENT: Sales

JOB PURPOSE: Identify, develop leads into new client relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and target non profit prospects and develop client relationships to drive new business opportunities and create long-term profit potential.
  • Identify all services that Amergent can provide.
  • Generate new business leads through personal contacts, trade shows, marketing communications initiatives, etc.
  • Prepare RFP responses & proposals for new business presentations.
  • Actively participate in development and implementation of Amergent promotional strategies and lead generation programs.
  • Work with account teams to develop marketing solutions
  • Assure high levels of client satisfaction with Amergent products/services.
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities wherever possible.
  • Perform other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree required. 8+ years sales experience in direct or database marketing with a concentration in fundraising services. Must have MS Office and Powerpoint computer skills and be able to make sales presentations and write proposals. Must have a solid history of closing business in the Non Profit sector. Excellent public speaking skills required.

Computer skills, prioritize and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), and have the ability to make decisions quickly. Travel by car and airplane required. Must be able to distinguish between colors, be good with numbers and have exceptional listening skills.
