POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Account Executive/Non-Profit

REPORTS TO: Account Manager/Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Account Services

JOB PURPOSE: To execute the day-to-day aspects of direct marketing programs from initial creative to results analysis. This must be done in a manner that provides maximum client satisfaction, insures estimated profit margins and leads to renewed business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help prepare creative strategies and budgets to be sent to clients

  • Submit creative requests to Creative Department and review all artwork for accuracy

  • Track internal production schedules to ensure that all timelines are met

  • Send package graphics and copy to clients and invoice them as scheduled

  • Communicate regularly with clients, via writing, meetings, phone calls, e-mail

  • Prepare and/or review all program plans

  • Review and approve live samples – data and copy - for client programs

  • Proofread and approve all material proofs

  • Assist in preparing results reports for programs

  • Assist Account Manager/Supervisor with list research and list procurement

  • Develop strong knowledge of the direct mail process and client service skills

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external delivery groups including creative, production, imaging, data services and data reporting in order to meet client needs

  • Support Account Manager/Supervisor in the identification and closing of new business

  • Perform other duties as required

EXPERIENCE

A college degree and 2-4 years of either agency or client service experience is preferred. Must be an energetic self-starter with the ability to interact well with clients and internal department managers and staff. Math skills are required. A demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Word is required. Knowledge of Powerpoint is helpful.

Must have strong verbal and writing skills in order to communicate effectively and courteously with client and internal staff of all levels. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, have good listening skills, be willing to take direction and work well under pressure. Physical requirements include color recognition and occasional travel.
